How to Get Rid of Ants in my Kitchen

1. Removing ants from your house

During the house cleaning process, the first thing you need to do is that when the ants enter in your house they leave a pheromone trail which makes other ants to follow it. As soon as you will notice the trail of ants marching in your house try to eliminate the trailing ants with a soapy water solution, all purpose cleaner or a bleach solution. Like this you will be able to kill the ants and get rid of their pheromone smell that stops other ants to follow it.

2. Soak a sponge in soapy water

3. Make your own apple cider vinegar solution to kill the ant trail

To create an own apple cider solution you need to mix 1 part of apple vinegar solution and 1 part of water, mix it in a spray bottle and spray it on the ants and their trails, wipe it away. You can continue to spraying and wiping process until you are sure that you have removed all of the ants and then clean the trail 1 more time. 

 

- Vinegar has got a strong odor but it should dissipate immediately. 

 

4. Use a commercial bait trap to kill the colony

When house cleaning you can set a bait trap for ants because they will lead you to the queen and the rest of the colony. Once the ants ingest the bait it will kill them and after that continue to put it regularly including your pipes, pantry or countertop.
